My Community Partner is directly involved with the Judicial process. In fact, the Judicial branch's powers are vested within many local sectors, and among those, is the Sheriff's department. To answer the question whether my CP recourses to Judicial system to resolve problems, would be a definite yes. When my CP arrests people and throws them in jail, these people must go through the judicial process in order to determine the outcome or punishments they must endure, if any. Without the judicial process being involved, there would be no court system to place criminals under or dispute domestic issues.
My community partner directly deals with the prison system because her job consists of catching lawbreakers. When I was on one of my ride alongs with my CP, she told me that she has caught a lot of big-time drug dealers who have been thrown in prison. Without a sheriff or police department, how would we even fill up our prisons or jails? Also, before my CP started working on patrol and as a court bailiff, she was a prison guard for many years.
